EDINBURGH FRINGE: The Elves and the Shoemaker at the Scottish Storytelling Centre (55 mins) (Netherbow Theatre)*****
The Scottish Storytelling Centre is a bit off the beaten track as regards other Fringe venues, but the well established Theatre of Widdershins has been selling out with its enchanting classic tale of a shoemaker who is helped by elves – and a cheeky mouse – when a factory moves in on his patch to make cheap and nasty shoes.
Featuring beautifully crafted puppets, a colourful set and opportunities for its young audiences of three to 10-years-old to interact, if this is your child’s first taste of the magical world of theatre they won’t be disappointed.
The Elves and the Shoemaker is at the Scottish Storytelling Centre (Netherbow Theatre) until Aug 16 at 11am
