EDINBURGH FRINGE: Who Walks This Path

One thing I didn't expect to be doing is…sing!
But in the madness that is the Fringe there is an oasis. and, after initial shyness, joining in Soul Circus's original songs felt therapeutic and calming. Not surprising then that the Brighton-based group has strong links with communities back home, working with suicide awareness, supporting mental health and running a recovery choir.
Exploring grief, displacement and uncertainty through storytelling and songs, it is, nevertheless, a simple but uplifting show, connecting life with nature (I particularly liked the song Never Underestimate the Power of Trees – so true!) and each other and whilst, post-Covid, I'm not yet ready to join hands with my fellow audience members, I left feeling refreshed and read to take on my shed-load of shows.
Who Walks this Path is at Greenside@Nicholson Square (Fern Studio) until Aug 12 at 11.45 (45 mins). tickets: greensidevenue.co.uk
