EDINBURGH FRINGE: …And This Is My Friend Mr Laurel

Only last week he was getting rave reviews in London’s West End! Now he’s back for the last time with the solo show he co-wrote and premiered at the Fringe in 2014.
Jeffrey Holland proves he is much more than Spike, the camp comedian he is best remembered for in TV’s Hi-De-Hi all those years ago.
His portrayal of Stan Laurel, visiting the sick-bed of his comedy partner Oliver Hardy, will have you in tears… of sadness and of laughter.
Giving an insight into the lives of ‘the greatest comedy act of all time’, this 55-minute show is a moving account of a friendship which survived their many wives, and the pressures they encountered, delivered with impeccable timing and skill, and peppered with jokes as Holland dons Laurel’s Derby hat and steps into the spotlight once more.
A must-see highlight of the Fringe, and not just for Laurel and Hardy fans!
…And This Is My Friend Mr Laurel is in the Pleasance Courtyard (Upstairs) daily (except for Aug 16) until Aug 28 at 11.20am (55 mins). Tickets: www.pleasance.co.uk
